Adam Meredith and Luke McAnally, two A&S majors, were part of a small group of students that went to the Clinton Global Initiative meeting in Washington, D.C. last month.

Jon Finnie is an A&S student (German & Geography), and serves as the Public Relations Director and a DJ for WRFL 88.1 FM, the University of Kentucky’s student-run radio station. In this podcast, Finnie talks about his role as PR Director, his German radio show, and gives a few examples of ways people can get involved with WRFL.

At the end of each academic year, the Society for the Promotion of Undergraduate Research hosts the Showcase of Undergraduate Scholars. Cristina Alcalde, one of three faculty co-directors at A&S Wired and a professor in the Department of Gender and Women’s Studies, mentored three Wired students during the past academic year. 

Calvin Chan is one of the Co-Coordinators of the 2011-2012 A&S Ambassadors. Chan is also a brother of Pi Kappa Phi Fraternity, the Vice-President of the Psychology Honor Society (Psi Chi), and Pre-Med AMSA.

Jennifer DeLuke is an A&S Ambassador, one of a select group of undergraduate students that represent the College of Arts and Sciences to prospective students and help with A&S events on campus. In this podcast, DeLuke gives an insider's perspective to the jobs an A&S Ambassador does, as well as some reasons why others might want to apply for the position as part of their undergraduate experience.

Charlie Fieseler is an undergraduate student majoring in Physics and Mathematics. Charlie is also a member of A&S Ambassadors, a team of undergraduate students that visit neighboring grade schools to discuss what it's like to be a UK student. During the last week of March, 2012, Peter Idstein showed his classes how volcanoes erupt. Since there aren't any in Kentucky, Idstein used trash cans filled with water as the 'volcanoes,' and liquid nitrogen as the catalyst for the eruption.
