I am a UK alumnus having completed my Bachelor of Arts in Secondary Education - English and a Master of Science in Education with a focus on Social and Philosophical Studies in Education. I hold a Ph.D. in Education as well with a focus on the intersection of underrepresented student populations, student housing, and history. I served as a Resident Director and, later, an Area Coordinator from 2005 until 2013 for the Office of Residence Life before joining the College of Arts and Sciences as an advisor before becoming the Senior Advisor for Instructional Coordination. 

Outside of my work as a Senior Advisor, I serve as an instructor for A&S 140: FOCUS-Connect and Recover and A&S 141: ASPIRE. I teach adjunct on occasion in the College of Education, particularly EPE 301: Education in American Culture. I have also taught sections of EDP 518 and UK 101 in the past as well. 

External to my professional life, I am a father of two and a husband. I am an avid reader, a self-admitted science fiction geek, and a film buff. I also am an "amateur" author, having had fiction work published as well as some academic publications and presentations. I enjoy historic research and recommend everyone check out UK's Special Collections to get a larger image of the import of the institution.
